It seems absolutely ridiculous, but back in 1876, people of a small town in Kentucky found chucks of meat that appeared to have rained down from heaven laying all over their fields. In an article of the time, an observer wrote: “The sky was perfectly clear at the time, and she said it felt like large snowflakes.” “One piece fell near her which was three or four inches square.” Some people said it smelled like mutton or venison. Was this real? How could one explain such a phenomenon? Where would the meat come from?
