Too Much Carbon? Plant Trees!

Although carbon dioxide is a miniscule portion of the atmosphere (Oxygen 21%, Nitrogen 78%, Argon 0.9%--everything else including carbon dioxide .1%). CO2 may have a role in trapping heat within the atmosphere. For this reason, many have been looking into how to reduce the production of CO2. The other side of that formula may be just as important and that is reducing the CO2 that is already there. Any basic biology course teachs the principle of photosynthesis. Plants take in water and CO2 and produce oxygen and sugar. More plants equal more consumption of CO2. A new study suggests that if we plant an enormous number of trees we could reduce carbon in the atmosphere significantly!
