Who is Fibbonaci?

No, not an Italian pasta, Fibbonaci is a person, Leonardo Fibonacci, known also as Leonardo of Pisa. He lived in the 12th century A.D. He was a mathematician who was interested in all sorts of formula that would help people predict patterns in business and in agriculture. The sequence of numbers 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34 is one that he wrote about, and now called the Fibbonaci sequence. He didn’t discover this pattern because researchers have found earlier writings from Arabic mathematicians. Many have recognized these numbers in plant and animal growth, but now, critics say much of the acclaim of this mathematical progression and its role in nature is only partially true.
