You are a Mutant!

Well, maybe you aren’t a mutant, but you probably have mutated cells in your body. The cells in your body—skin, organs, nerves, bone, all reproduce. They all have a certain lifetime and die. New cells take their place as young cells divide. Sometimes when cells divide (mitosis) the process can be altered by environmental factors like too much sunlight, an ingested chemical, or some type of radiation. The new cells do not function like they should and so are “mutants.” Most humans (95%) are carrying around these mutated cells in the body. That doesn’t mean you might grow a third eye or tumor. Most of the time these cells don’t cause trouble. As we age though, some can develop into cancers and start taking over normal body functions. Read more at:
